For advisors

A partner for the conversations you are not positioned to have.

Your clients are being asked about political giving. Scout Lunar handles those conversations with the seriousness they deserve — and never competes with the wealth relationship.

A question your clients are asking. A question you are not paid to answer.

01

"Where should I be giving this cycle?"

You have three options: guess, refer to a friend in politics, or change the subject. None of the three is what your client hired you for.

02

"Did my last cycle of giving actually matter?"

Your client does not know. Nobody has told them. The records exist; no one has assembled them into an answer that reads as an answer.

03

"Can you help me with this?"

If you say yes, you drift into partisanship. If you say no, you introduce a vacuum — and someone else will fill it. Neither serves the relationship.

Co-advisory, not competition.

What we are

A political-giving counterpart to the wealth relationship you already hold.

We answer to the client. We answer to the advisor's relationship with the client. We send nothing without the client's knowledge, and we send nothing to the advisor without the client's explicit permission.

Our work is narrow and deep: Democratic political giving, planned and placed with discipline, reported back cycle over cycle. That is the whole of the practice.

What we are not

A wealth manager. An asset allocator. A second opinion on anything beyond our lane.

We do not manage assets. We do not take custody of capital. We do not advise on tax, on estate planning, on philanthropy outside the political frame, or on anything that touches the balance sheet you are paid to steward.

The retainer is flat and does not rise in presidential years. Your client's invoice stops being a problem.

Three things they cannot get from a call to a friend in politics.

i.

A sophisticated counterpart.

Someone who has placed Democratic capital across ten cycles, who reads the races the way your client reads a P&L, and who will tell them when an ask is a bad one.

Ten cycles. $38M+ placed.
ii.

A private and discreet handoff.

Your client meets us on their own terms. The relationship with you is protected. Nothing is said in a room your client has not authorized.

Introduction is by invitation only.
iii.

A retainer that stays flat.

The engagement is flat-fee across the cycle. It does not balloon in presidential years. It does not spike during a contested primary. Your client's spend is predictable; your conversation with them is easier.

Flat fee · multi-cycle.

Four steps, in the order they happen.

i.

Introduction.

You write to us, or we write to you. One short call, usually thirty minutes. We describe our practice, you describe the client and the question you are trying to answer. No materials change hands.

ii.

Initial conversation with the client.

With the client's agreement, we take one meeting together or one meeting alone — whichever the client prefers. Your presence is welcomed and never required. The goal is to understand what the client wants their political giving to mean.

iii.

Engagement, on the client's terms.

If the client engages, the scope and pace are set by them. Some clients want a plan written and executed in one cycle. Others want a multi-cycle practice built deliberately, starting with a small first placement. Both are right.

iv.

Reporting, back to both.

We report back to the client after every placement and at the end of each cycle. With the client's written permission, we send you a copy of the end-of-cycle report. No permission, no report. This is not our call to make.

§05 · Open to partnership

We are writing this page to start conversations, not to describe ones that are not happening.

We are actively building relationships with family offices and RIAs who serve politically engaged Democratic donors. If you have a client who should meet us, we would like to hear from you.

We will not post a partners list until there is one worth posting — and until each partner has consented to be on it. The absence of logos here is deliberate.
